The Waterloo Area Historical Society's annual Christmas on the Farm celebration, this famous Victorian Christmas occurs every December:
Step into the holiday season at Christmas on the Farm and experience the warmth and charm of a 19th-century Christmas. Tour the festively decorated Waterloo Farm Museum and Dewey School Museum, and enjoy live music and caroling. Watch traditional craft and cooking demonstrations, including baking in the wood-fired brick oven, and visit with costumed interpreters who bring the past to life.
Enjoy full concessions, a variety of vendors selling hand-crafted goods, and a silent auction filled with unique holiday items. On Saturday, experience a Colonial Christmas in the Log House and pony rides for children. On Sunday, gather for a festive reading of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
Browse hand-crafted Christmas wreaths and holiday décor in the Ice House and museum gift shop, and warm up with seasonal refreshments in a nostalgic farmstead setting. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the holidays with family while connecting to Michigan’s rural heritage.
